Jason, you're putting too much faith in Microsoft. They have a stranglehold on the US market but that won't last forever. Entire countries are adopting Linux and Mac OS looks stronger than it has in the last 15 years.

You've been sucked in by their marketing that says, "we're the best so use our tools and screw everybody else." That's their only way of staving off alternative OSes. It could also be considered monopoly abuse.
