Google, MySpace and $900 million
Through the deal, Google search boxes will be added to MySpace, as well as provide keyword targeted ads through AdSense. As far as advertising goes, Google will also get first call on selling any unsold ad space that Fox Interactive has not sold directly.
Terms of the deal include Fox meeting certain milestones in traffic in order for Google to pay out. Google has no doubt that Fox will meet all criteria for payouts. The ads and search boxes are expected to be up and running by the end of the year, and continue until mid 2010.

Am I missing something? MySpace is going to pay Google to put ads on their site? Doesn't the payment usually go from the person placing ads TO the people hosting them?

Google and MySpace will apparently share profits from this little venture.

Does Myspace need any more ads than it already has? Seriously, all of the pages are FILLED to the brim with them. What I want to know is 1) Where these ads are going to go; 2) IF Google is going to improve on the terrible interface 3) Why Google is even participating with Myspace - Don't they have Orkut?
