Google adds malware warnings to search results
Google has recently added malware advisories to search results. When results are clicked on, Google directs users to a Warning page, where Google announces that the site you are about to visit might not be suitable.
One particular instance is when "list keygen mirc" is searched. If users click on the first entry in the search results, they are directed to a Google Warning page, letting them know that the site they are about to visit may harm their computer. Google then gives the opportunity to click into the site, or perform another search.
It looks like Google is also helping users protect themselves by directing users to StopBadware.org, A neighborhood watch site dedicated to fighting badware. The StopBadware site also helps users detect, and get rid of malware they might have installed on their computers.

Very nice. 2 thumbs up for Google.

What a good benevolent nanny step!
I'm not sure it is a step in the right direction. Sure, now, you're just getting a warning, but if they were suddenly to weed out the bin of 'keygen' related site, who would complain (does it really exist if it is not in Google?)
I am just as happy with unfiltered, unmessed with search results. I'm a grown up and willing to suffer the consequences of searching for 'keygen', 'crack' and 'serial'.

It's not just the keywords that are obviously a bad idea that will feature sites in the results that might have the warning. It is any site that has been associated with malware. I am glad somebody is working to keep the internet cleaner for all computers.
