ZuluPad - Personal Wiki Notepad
I first fell in love with the concept of wikis a few years ago, after reading an article at Sitepoint entitled "What is a Wiki?". Since then, I've used a number of personal wiki notepads (useful for organizing your notes and thoughts) as well as public online wikis. The somewhat self-organizing abilities of the wiki are still very alluring to me, but I've yet to be able to find one to settle on. ZuluPad may be the one. ZuluPad is a free, stripped-down personal wiki for the Windows desktop that eschews silly customs like CamelCase or funky markup to denote links to new pages, and instead allows users to either click a button to mark a word or phrase as a link, or simply use CTRL-L as a hotkey. Simple, and effective. Beyond the manner in which links are created, ZuluPad delivers what you might expect - a very small and quick notepad with wiki functionality.
Probably my only gripe is that there are no formatting options whatsoever in ZuluPad. While I don't want to over-complicate this simple and effective tool, the ability to bold or italicize things would go a long way towards making pages more readable. I'm just sayin'.

Have you seen TiddlyWiki? http://www.tiddlywiki.com/
It's a free, personal wiki made in a single page of HTML. It allows all the usual wiki functionality (including formatting) and, because it's only an HTML page, can be used from anywhere. I keep a copy on my USB stick for note taking and brain storming purposes.

It's a complete wiki system implemented in a single page of HTML. As such it will run easily from, say, a USB stick. It includes all the usual wiki functionality (including formatting).
I have been using it for a while now for note-taking and brain-storming and I wouldn't be without it.

TwiddlyWiki will do that for me. If you combine it with NetJaxer (http://www.netjaxer.com/ ) you can even have a tray icon , a quick launch shortcut and a dedicated window for it. Plus it is just a simple html file wich you can easily sinchronyze or run from your USB stick.

I use WikidPad to organize my notes. It has done it job till now. I'll move to Ma href=http://www.beatniksoftware.com/tomboy/>TomBoy when a stable port is available on windows.
