google flint michiganFlint can't get enough of Google

Michigan is so super excited with Google moving in to revitalize their state, that every week it seem like people from the state are praising Google, and finding any way to connect their roots back to the area. The Flint Journal let us know recently that Larry Page went to the University of Michigan, and his Dad was not only born in Flint, but attended many schools there. And of course, Grandpa also was a Flint resident, and did participate in the Sit-Down Strike of 1936-1937. Looks like they might get Larry to join "the Flint Club".

Google City Guides

When users search for cities through Google, users are hit with targeted Search results that are targeted towards cities. These SERP results are displayed for Dining Guides, Lodging guides, Attractions, Shopping, Suggested itineraries, and Tours & day trips. This looks like another Google vertical aimed at pointing us in the right direction.
