Skype for Mac with Video
Skype just released a new version of its IM with video, designed for mac users. This preview version is open for download and beta testing. All you need to get started is an Apple computer, webcam, microphone, and the Skype for Mac with Video beta.
The new release makes it easier for Mac users to initiate video calls to a PC or Mac. Since the application is still in its beta phase, Skype is welcoming users feedback.

Okay tested this out last night and here is the skinny. At the outset Skype VOIP is not a product that you can use to talk to customers that you want to impress. On 50% of occassions the sound quality is so bad as to be useless. But maybe that's not your interest - fine. If you and the 3 people you know with iChat have used iSight then the quality of the video with the Skype product will be quite poor, given your experience. By far, the problem is sound. The microphone on the standalone iSight camera is too far away. Sound quality definitely improves with a headset and boom. On the whole - the product definitely expands the network for iSight users but the quality of this Beta is ont good.
