Send a video postcard with Hellodeo

Good things come in small packages, and Hellodeo is the perfect example. Hellodeo is a free service from the makers of podcasting portal Odeo that lets you record and send short videos with nothing but a webcam (and a microphone, if you want sound). All you have to do is go to Hellodeo.com and record your video with their Flash widget. Then you can send people the URL or embed the video in a web page. Certainly you shouldn't try to use Hellodeo to shoot your next Hollywood blockbuster, but for recording short video messages and sharing them with your friends, I can't imagine anything simpler.
