You've probably noticed a few new names here at Download Squad over the last few days. That's because we've got a pile of new bloggers and are set to get even more. Right now you can look forward to seeing posts from:- Chris Gilmer from The Unofficial Google Weblog

With all this new talent showing up more or less all at once, you can expect things here at Download Squad to be a little topsy-turvy for the next week or two (e.g. six Google posts in a row!), but once it's settled down I think it will be the best software and computing blog in the land, not only because of our great bloggers but also because of our smart and enthusiastic readers. Thanks for the welcome, Jordan. It is good to join the party over here, where there is plenty of great stuff already. Download Squad has been one of my favorite blogs for a while now, so it is an honor to be joining the team. Hopefully I can add to Download Squad and make it that much better. Nice to "meet" all of you.

Nice to be reading all of you. Downloadsquad has become one of my favourite places on the web to hang out. I'll be looking forward to the new experience with the new authors. But I'm confident it will only go up from here, even though it's pretty good already :)

So is it you new guys who are responsible for polluting this blog with all the non-software related garbage the last couple days? I thought Weblogs Inc. had all those other sites for that?!? I read the different sites so I can see categorized news. Why is everyone recycling everything internally now? It seems like anymore I shouldn't bother and just read digg. Or maybe my newsreader needs a 'remove dupes' button that deletes all the self-referential crap.
What good do the view posts by Windows/Mac/Linux buttons do if nothing on the site is even relevant?
