The State of Linux 2006

Tom's Hardware is running an excellent feature called The State of Linux 2006, which examines the progress and pitfalls Linux has met in the past year. It's a long feature, but if it's been awhile since you've poked your head into the Linux world, it's a great overview of what's happening.
