I have a serious problem with this review. I was a bit surprised that AVG brought up the rear, with an extremely low rating. It seem that it was punished for lacking "firewall or antispyware tools." Yet, it says that they are rating "anti-virus apps."
These are two different kettles of fish. Most of the programs are suites, encompassing more than anti-virus, but when it comes to anti-virus AVG does as good a job as any (if not better). And, it's free to boot! It doesn't have the frills that others do: it focuses on anti-virus, and I don't need anything more than that. I don't need anti-spyware, I use Firefox. I don't need a firewall, I use a router.
If they feel AVG is a crappy program, tell us why. But if you are rating "Anti-Virus Apps", say so. Don't be rating Security Suites, and calling it anti-virus program ratings.
