Task List coming in Google Calendar?
Garett Rogers over at Googling Google discovered a few weeks ago that there is some dormant code in Google Calendar that appears to have only one possible use: completable events, otherwise known as tasks. For me, this is a killer, killer feature. I've already replaced Microsoft Outlook for email and calendar management with Gmail and Google Calendar respectively. Right now I'm using Backpack by the Update - changed 43 Folders to 37 Signals after the mistake was pointed out in the comments. That's what I get for doing my writing at 2:00 AM!

Please, please, please let this be true. I have been waiting so long to be able to dump my other services and integrate my calendar and tasks with my Gmail.

Wouldn't that be 37 signals instead of 43 folders???

Try 30boxes, they have a task list and a killer calendar that does as much or more than Gcal does (except drag and drop appt)

43 Folder's is Merlin's blog. :P
The task list is the only feature missing for the Google Calendar!! I really hope this is true.

Meanwhile, you can subscribe to your Backpack calendar with Google Calendar.

You still haven't corrected the reference to "43 Folders guys" after the link to Backpack.

Backpack really sucks for managing tasks, because they continue to drag their feet on make it possible to promote/move/copy tasks from sublists to a main list. Once you get beyond a small number of tasks, this feature really becomes indispensable to have a single list of what's due *today*.
