New features for Goowy: Web-based IM and file storage
Last month I mentioned that Flash-based
personalized home page Goowy was working on adding IM and online file storage
functionality. It took a bit longer than I'd expected, but those features are now online. The web-based IM feature lets
you sign on to MSN, Yahoo, ICQ or AOL and chat in your browser, and the web-based storage gives you a free 1GB virtual
hard drive via Box.net. You can try Goowy out without registering by logging into the demo account.[Via TechCrunch]

That's great. However, I wish that you had discussed more about its performance. I have noticed that many services which allow you to have online space are a bit slow. I hope it is fast.

Currently I have some problems using Goowy. Site says that I don't have Flash 8 installed, but I sure I have it. I'm using Opera 8.53, loading plugins is turned on. Maybe firewall? Has anybody seen this problem?

I'm also having the same problems with Goowy. Site keeps saying that I don't have Flash 8 installed.

Awesome site! It's still in its early stages, but it works great nonetheless! I really like the e-mail client as well as the many other features.
I use the latest version of Firefox and it works perfectly, so maybe it doesn't support Opera yet? Also, this tends to take a lot of memory when ytou have many of the applets running...the only dissapointing thing.
