No more 10
minute limits for your videos— if you are a legitimate content creator. YouTube had to start limiting videos to 10
minutes because folks were putting entire episodes of stuff online. That's a lot of fun, but not so fun if you're the
lawyers for YouTube. So if you're a videoblogger or "legit" content producer (meaning original content) you
can
sign up for YouTube's brand new Director program. For now, you have
to go login or sign up, but they're promising a dedicated page and more info later, possibly even more features. For
now, here's what you get as a Director:
- Logo co-branding, company URL, and company description on
all of your video pages
- Ability to upload videos longer than 10 minutes
- Customizable name
& value fields for each of your videos (ex: "Price: $4.25" or "Show Time: 9 pm PST")
- Ability to attach a per-video URL to each of your videos
That's a pretty good deal for
free.
Thanks to Carl B. for the tip!
