Network Magic - automagically configure your home network
If you, like many people with multiple computers,
struggle with networking, there might be a solution out there for you. Network Magic is a utility that takes on the job of configuring your home
network - everything from local file and printer sharing and wireless configuration to remote file access and
security. It can also "monitor and repair" your network. One of the coolest features is the ability of
Network Magic to create a network topology map with all network-aware devices that it can detect represented. If there
is a problem, for example one of the devices gets disconnected, Network Magic can tell you exactly where
the disconnect occurred.
In today's day and age of multi-computer households, intelligent software that can help take on some of the burden of maintaining a home network is like a breath of fresh air. Network Magic has both free and commercial versions available.

I'd say this is the best download ever.

Looks good so far, was hoping this had a way of telling me how much bandwidth each device on the network was taking up. That way when I start lagging on Xbox Live I can go yell at my roommate or something if I notice he's using up quite a bit of bandwidth. I've got a Linksys WRT54G, is there a fairly easy way of monitoring each device's bandwidth through it? I've used a couple different firmware's on the router, so getting my hands dirty in that sense isn't a problem.

Meaty Puffs - you can get a free add-on bandwidth meter for Network Magic called Speed Meter Pro that will allow you to measure your roommate's bandwidth usage. You can download it at http://www.speedmeterpro.com .
