Dual screen wallpapers - Today's Mod
If you are lucky enough to be able to run multiple monitors on your system, you may sometimes find
yourself wishing you could find desktop wallpapers that are optimized across multiple screens. The folks at Dual Screen Wallpaper obviously decided to try to do something about it.
While I really like some of the wallpapers at Dual Screen Wallpapers, I should warn you that they have integrated the advertising in their site in such a way as to try to trick people into making false clicks; the titles and descriptions of each wallpaper are formatted exactly like the text ads that they display at the top of the screen, and they even display an image beside the text ads so that they blend in perfectly with the rest of the site. I'm sure this is a breach of the terms of service for their advertiser so they won't be able to keep this up for long, but for now just be careful of the top two links on the site. I simply can't help linking to them though, as the wallpapers are gorgeous and work beautifully on my dual-screen setup.

These do look awesome but gah! why no 3200x1200? :(

But out of the box, XP does not span your wallpaper across monitor, does it?
And besides, my screens run @ different resolution. What would be nice is to be able to set a different picture per monitor...

Yeah it would be great if I could get the images to actually load across my 2 screes. Is there a freeware program or a setting I can use to a)make the image span across both monitors? and/or b) use 2 independent images, one for each moitor?

If you're like me and your dual monitors use different screen resolutions (1280x800 and 1280x1024 for laptop and external lcd) then a single large image won't work. The images provided here: http://mandolux.com/ will work though. Mando has some pretty sick wallpapers to choose from. He provides many different resolutions for both the right and left monitor image.
Of course this only works if your system can handle managing a different wallpaper for each desktop. I use an nVidia utility for this.

I did a quick search but didn't find any decent utilities for multiple desktop wallpapers. Any suggestions?

You dont need any third party software to get images to scale across two monitors that are at the same resolution.....
just download the larger "dual" screen wallpaper and select it...and select the option "tiled" and it will work perfectly.

I don't see the deceptive ads because I'm using Firefox and AdBlocker. One good way to avoid being fooled ;-)

For setting individual wallpapers for each screen, or spanning one across both screens, you want Ultramon. Google it. You won't be disappointed.
