The Home Recording and Instruments blog has news of a cool
new software download for Mac and Windows that allows you to conduct musical jam sessions with your buddies on the
Internet--in real time! This piece of software lets you use MIDI instruments--guitars, keyboards, and woodwinds--to
collaborate on musical compositions from miles and miles away. Pretty cool stuff, especially if your guitarist lives in
Florida and your drummer lives in Tokyo.
Check out eJamming here.

About as dead as the software apparently. Didn't anyone think of the latency? By the time you hear the far end and sync up your playing and then they hear you back, you'll be off beat. There's enough lag in consumer sound cards to make them unsuitable even for multitrack recording, much less collaborating over the internet.
Unless everyone using this software is just a shitty musician and doesn't notice.....
