Search Download Squad from Firefox's Search Bar
Posting on a multi-author blog like
Download Squad is exhilarating, but can be frustrating at times when you discover that the great new download that you
want to share with the world was reported right here on the site a few weeks or months ago. To prevent that from
happening as much as possible, we need to search our own site to make sure we're not creating duplicate posts. I wish I
could trust my brain to remember every post I read here, but I've managed to prove that I simply can't. To make the
process of checking quicker, I've installed a dedicated search bar plug-in for Firefox that searches Download Squad
directly from the search bar. It only recently occurred to me that although I have a very specialized use for this plug-in, I also find myself using it regularly when I need to find a program or utility for this or that special scenario. And then it occurred to me that some of our readers would probably also enjoy the ability to search Download Squad being built into Firefox. So here it is. Enjoy.

Could you make one from some other Weblogs inc. site? I'd love to have a plugin for Engadget and TUAW.

Zach - sorry! I guess I missed it the first time around, but found it at mozdev.org. I'm glad to have featured it, it sure makes my life easier.
