This is infuriatingly simple but difficult.
Escapa has you click and drag a little red box around the screen, trying to avoid bigger blue blocks. It's a variation on several games I used to play, one was called "Daleks" after the Dr. Who nemesis. You move your character one step at a time, and the enemies would inch closer. Those were more strategic, as you would move, baddies would move, it was all very orderly. If a bad guy landed on you (which you could usually see happening eventually), you died. In Escapa, you drag your little box around in real time while the blue boxes chase and capture you. I have yet to break past 10 seconds, so tell us what you get in the comments.

66.7 seconds on my 6th try. If you can't seem to do very well at it, try this trick: think of it as a puzzle rather than as a game. All it is is the memorization of a series of movements of your red relative to the movements of the blues. If you're any good at those memory games, you should be able to plot yourself a 40-60 second path of movement quite easily. Approaching it from that perspective worked for me, anyway- anyone agree/disagree?

I can't seem to get past 21 seconds. I managed to let it keep moving while my time was shown and after 30 seconds it looks quite impossible(it keeps same speed after that) being that even with my mouse cursor i could only dodge for a fraction of a second.
Videos would do great justice with those high scores ;)

The bad thing about this game is that the blocks move everytime the same way, so you can just learn where to move if you do it often enough. After a short while I know the way to 25 secs by heart.

ok so there is a safe spot where u can chill for around 9 sec,
step 1: move vertically down to miss the blues
step 2: move to top left corner hide out for 9 sec
step 3: move vertically down to bottom left
step 4: ur on ur own
beating 20 sec is cake beyond that is kinda hard
touchpad gives more control over the mouse than a conventional mouse

Dude the best way to score points is to just right click in the middle of the game and let it stay like that. The whole game will freeze but the timer is still going, so when you think you have enough time just click agian and play but when you die your score will be extra high.

I got 45 seconds and it was easy on ESCAPA!!!

Ok, well my personal best is 50.219. I noticed the more streaming media you have going in the background of this game the more it will slow the blocks down allowing you to get a higher time. The rest is up to you though it's all memorization, good luck all, it's definetally quite addictive.

60.78 I was running 6 very large programs in the background, so the squares moved real slow.

802.409 I changed the game so that if you hit a blue square nothing happens. I just sat in front of my computer until I got bored.

How to get a couple million seconds:
get to a point in the game where you will not get hit for a while, and then go to "view" and then "source". Now you will have the source code of the game. Click "Save As" and type "Escapa.html". Now find in the source code the place that says "touch = 0" and change the 0 to a 1. now save the game and exit Notepad. Double click on the file that says "Escapa.html" and play the game. You will notice that you do not have to dodge the blue squares. Now adjust your computer clock to a couple days or months or even years later. Now go back to the game and run your square into the black border. You will get a huge amount of seconds. Remember to change your clock back!
