Uno is perhaps one of my favorite card games. Not
because it's the best, but because it has broad appeal, an easy but fun rule system, and pretty colors. I like the
primary colors, they remind me of the 80's. So I found
Duo, an
Uno-ish game that's open source, written in Python, and available for Windows, Linux, and BeOS (for both of you who
care). I suppose you might be able to get it to work in OS X, but no guarantees. One problem: it's in French. Still, if
you're familiar with Uno at all the interface is very similar to the Game Boy Color port, and won't take long to figure
out. Enjoy!

Looks like all those classes in french I took in highschool will come in handy, even if it's just for a game.

There's another free game by the same name by BinaryZoo (binaryzoo.com). It's a great shooter with excellent graphics and very good sounds. Also try their other games, duotris and mono. I was addicted to mono for a good month, if not more.

Duo seems to have problems. If the human player draws a card and then can't make a play, the game hangs.

I noticed game hung on me too, it's a shame because it's a nice little program. It seems to be pretty old, think they will release a new version?
