A blogger by the name
of Colin Nederkoorn has jump-started a
bounty to get Windows XP to
boot on the new Intel-based Macs. He began with $100 of his own money and as of this posting it's up to more than
$4,000 donated by various individuals and companies. The rules of the contest stipulate that the resulting system must
dual-boot, and if no success is had by March 23, the bounty will go to charity. That's a pretty hefty sum (and growing
rapidly), so get hacking!

Hang on a sec, Windows on a Mac? WHY??? Why spend so much time and effort trying to get the worst OS (ignoring legacy OS's like DOS etc) on a computer already running something better? If you need another OS then just run Linux (would be much easier to install as you can already get x86 and powerpc versions of linux).

I've seen plenty of screenshots showing macosx running on a pc. What I've never seen is xp running on a mac without emulation.

Isn't this all wrong? Can't there be a bounty to get OSX running properly (i.e. so even a newbie can install it) on a wintel box? That's what I'd be more interested in.
