TaskFreak!: Open source web-based task management
There's a lot of programs out
there for managing your time, and TaskFreak! is neither the first web-based one
nor the first open source one. However, it's free and it's fast, so if you're looking for a new way to track your
progress on various tasks and projects, it's worth a look. It's written in PHP and works with either MySQL or SQLite
and is "GTD compliant," though I'm not entirely sure that means much.

GTD refers to 'Getting Things Done', a book by David Allen. It's a pretty good free flow system for organizing tasks and information, a lot of geeks out there swear by it.

Yes, I know what GTD is and have dabbled in it; it's the "GTD compliant" bit that I'm skeptical of.

Agreed about the "GTD compliant" label, I just put it there to make TaskFreak! look hip and match more google results (it worked!), but it's basically just another buzz word.
For my defense, it helps me to get my things done, so it is compliant, as far as I am concerned.
Thank's for the article, Jordan.
