Apple updates iTunes Mini-Store with privacy fix

iTunes Mini-Store WarningBoing Boing is reporting that Apple, whose Mini-Store feature in the latest version of iTunes raised privacy concerns by sending Apple information about every song you select in your Library without asking permission, has released a new installer for iTunes 6.0.2 that explains what information the Mini-Store transmits and lets you choose whether you want to start iTunes with it turned on. This is the right move for Apple and I'm glad they got it done so quickly, but like Cory I'm still curious why the Mini-Store transmits your Music Store ID if Apple truly discards that information.
