For whatever reason, it's sometimes
necessary to view a web site in Internet Explorer. Except, now it's not.
IE Tab
is an extension for Firefox that creates tabs in Firefox that are rendered by Internet Explorer, which means that any
IE-specific scripts and plugins will work, right inside Firefox. Of course, that means
security flaws
will, too, but if you only use it when absolutely necessary that won't be a problem. IE Tab even lets you use Windows
Update within a Firefox tab.

I like this extension. Very useful for testing web designs and not having to open IE, just right click.

I like this extension too, but it got me thinking - how hard would it be to code an upcoming release of Firefox so that if a website crashes the browser, only that tab has to close and not the whole browser.
I'm guessing pretty hard, but maybe worthwhile.
