Hi,
I am looking for an ActiveX control that allows drag drop upload from a web browser.
May I have the link to Rad Inc, please?
Thanks.

This is fantastic, although a little rough. It worked in Yahoo Mail, but in gmail it wouldn't dynamically create the additional slots. If I opened them, though, one drag would pull the files right in, which is just short of amazing. Unfortunately, it also scatters their order.
Still, it's about 80% of a miracle!

The way upload works in browser is clunky. It has been the same clunky system for a long long time. Fortunately there are some solutions out there that don't require a Firefox plug in, and work on all browsers. We have a drag-and-drop upload solution which works as a Java applet, which you can try out at: http://chiralsoftware.net/drag-and-drop-file-upload.html. It lets you drag an entire folder of files onto the web browser and have them all uploaded. A company called Rad Inc also makes a similar product. So there are options out there to fix this. The future of web services is going to be a lot more web application type services which may use JavaScript or Java applets to blur the distinction between a web site and a desktop application. This is a good thing.
