In the not
especially surprising news department, Redmondmag.com is reporting that Microsoft is
planning to include an RSS aggregator in Outlook
12, to be released with Vista in the second half of this year. This is bad news for the likes of NewsGator who sell
plugins that give Outlook feed capability. It will be interesting to see how Microsoft will reconcile the inclusion of
feed support in both Outlook and Internet Explorer.

Newsgator's killer app is server synchronozation, and it also includes the outlook reader in a subscription fee. It also bought FeedDemon as a standalone app and continues development on it.
On the surface, this seems to hurt them a lot more than when you dig deeper.

I looked at NewsGator and it was very nice but also expensive.
What is a good free Windows RSS aggrigator? I'm currently using FeedReader which is so-so (my major complaints being that sometimes it duplicates postings and that the pop-up alert always steals focus from the application you're currently using) but I would be interested in other peoples recommendations.
