The age-old dilemma: You want to
try out Cool New Service X and need to give them a valid e-mail address when you sign up, but you never really want to
hear from them again nor risk getting your e-mail address put on a spam list. The answer is the disposable e-mail
address and there are a number of such solutions (
Spamgourment comes to
mind), but the simplest I've yet to see is
TempInbox. Just give those services
any e-mail address ending in @tempinbox.com and those e-mails can be accessed by entering the bit before the @ at the
TempInbox site. As a bonus, they've also got RSS feeds for every inbox. Beware, though, there's absolutely no security
going on here, so be sure to only use it for the truly disposable sign-ups.
