So far
I've avoided the predictions-for-'06 lists just for sheer volume (if you've spotted any particularly good ones, though,
please hit up our
tips form) but Philipp Lenssen's mostly Google-centric
15 Search Predictions for 2006 at Google Blogoscoped
is pretty good. He gives a probability for each of his predictions: Web-wide Google video search? 80%. Graphical ads on
Google.com? 40%. Google releases revolutionary web translator? 50%. Yahoo! and MSN unclutter themselves? 20%. Head over
to Google Blogoscoped for the full list or post your own predictions in the comments below.

Here here! I've been waiting for a decent calendar webapp for years now. Come on Google, please finish it and put it up for us lowly users to beta test for you!

While a Google Calendar sounds like a great idea, how can Google finish it if we don't even know for sure they ever started work on it? All Google did was register the web address; it redirects to the Google homepage, but that's all. Though Google may well be working on one now, based on the response, I don't remember any news that they were probably working on it.
