Last week Microsoft announced what we
all new was coming:
Support for
Internet Explorer on the Mac is coming to an end. Development ended with IE5 for the Mac back in 2003, and as of
the end of this year it will be no longer supported by Microsoft (though I have to wonder how much it was really being
supported anyway). As of January 31, 2006 you'll no longer be able to download it, so if you have some sort of morbid
curiosity about old browsers, your time is running out. This is probably the last Microsoft browser for the Mac you'll
see in a very long time, if ever again.
