posted yesterday that a music publisher had shut down the lyric search widget pearLyrics, alert reader Dylan mentioned that a similar program,
Evil Lyrics, was still out there. Sure enough, it is. The program does just about the same thing as pearLyrics — that is, it searches web sites that contain song lyrics to display them while you're listening to music. Unlike pearLyrics, which was a Mac/iTunes-only program, Evil Lyrics works with almost any music player, including iTunes, MusicMatch and Windows Media Player. Evil Lyrics is Windows-only, though, so Mac users may have to try hunting down copies of pearLyrics from servers that haven't deleted it yet. In the meantime, Windows users should grab Evil Lyrics before it, too, vanishes.
