Firefox 1.5 coming today
Rev up that auto-update. After three release candidates, Firefox 1.5 is scheduled to be released this afternoon, according to the Mozilla group. The long-awaited official release will feature a number of enhancements, including more responsive back and forward buttons, better support for web standards, and a redesigned preferences window. Many of these features have been avaialable for sometime in the release candidates, but if you've been holding out for the official launch, now's your chance to go for it. And if you're determined to live at the cutting edge, you can always download Firefox 1.6, now in alpha.
Update: It's here. Mozilla.org site isn't updated yet, but if you want to download it right now, go to the Moz FTP server and grab it.

I am suspecting the auto update won't work, as there is a bug with the auto update portion of 1.5. Today's release fixes the bug "Stage should not be a major point of failure for AUS [All] (no incremental update)".
Here's hoping everything goes well. =)
