CryptoExpert 2006 Lite - Today's Free File

If you're paranoid about your computer falling into the wrong hands, or just want to keep some data private, you can check out CryptoExpert Lite, a free program that lets you create secure virtual hard drives on your PC. Drives are encrypted and locked with a password of your choosing, and any files you create or drag into them are encrypted as well. The free program lacks some features that the $60 CryptoExpert Pro offers, but for basic security, the Lite version is probably all you'll need.

AxCrypt is great for encrypting a few files, but if you want a secure place to put everything TrueCrypt can't be beaten. I use it to keep all my finances in one place - there's no need to encrypt/decrypt individual files...

Trucrypt seems to be able to run on a USB drive. I downloaded it today, but still reading the manual to figure out how to make that work.
