Is Google about to pick up
photo-sharing/facial recognition service Riya? Rumors have been circulating for a few days, with a price of as much as $40 million placed on the deal. While Om Malik has reportedly "tentatively confirmed" the deal, no official announcement has been made yet. A Riya deal could make sense for Google, since the company's technology would seem to fit with Google's strategy to "build products that organize the world's information." But $40 million
for a startup with no income? Looks like the Bubble 2.0 is really starting to inflate.

Google has enough smart people to turn Riya into the Flickr destroyer. Gotta feel sorry for Yahoo!...
