After
last week's false starts about Firefox 1.5 being released, I tend to take any news about its impending arrival with just a little bit of a grain of salt. But
according to PC World, the Mozilla team actually told them that 1.5 final will be out on November 29th, "give or take a few days." That last clause gives them quite a bit of wiggle room, so it's possible that we won't see 1.5 until sometime in mid-December. In the meantime, RC3 seems pretty stable —though I'm still seeing reports that the Mac version has some problems with Flash, issues that don't seem to affect the Windows edition.

There certainly are some problems with Flash on my mac. I can't play any videos from video.google.com.

Is it here yet? Added the 29th to my schedule, just in case. Okay, how about now? =)

Take your time. As long as it works and is stable I don't care how long it takes to get here. I just wished that Greasemonkey worked with the current release canidate.

I'm not worried about the full release version, I've been happily using the RC's for a while. I just wish that the extension authors would get their extensions working with 1.5.

I wish the extension authors would speed up too but to be fair on them I wouldn't want to redraft the extension for every possible release candidate. Much better for them (and us) for them to optimise it for the final version.
I have been getting various problems with RC3. I just hope they are resolved on the 29th.
