If you're one of the 10,000 people lucky enough to have been granted access,
you can now download Beta 1 of Microsoft Office 12 — if you can get through; last time I checked,
Microsoft's beta server seemed to be buckling under the demand. The beta apparently
includes new builds of some products that haven't traditionally been bundled as part of the Office suite, including Visio, Project and Groove, in addition to the core office components. Of course, by the time this goes retail, there will no doubt be a bewildering array of packages to choose from, but we certainly hope at least one includes some of those apps, and provides greater interoperability between them and Office's "traditional" programs.
