French SIM card-maker Axalto has come up with what it believes is the perfect solution for mobloggers: a
SIM-based web server. According to the company, its new U2 SIM provides TCP/IP connectivity, allowing users to save blog entries and other info directly to the card, making it accessible via the net whenever the phone is on. It’s an interesting idea, and the idea of having a web server you can carry in your pocket certainly has its appeal. But before I'm sold, the company will have to address some of the messy issues that might be involved, like what your phone’s IP address or URL would be, whether you have to keep your phone on 24-7, and what to do when someone hits your phone with a DoS attack.

Kent-
Glad you're a fan of both sites! I wrote the Engadget post, and thought it would be of interest to Download Squad's readers as well. And, yeah, guess I need to limber up my Ctrl-V finger so I can paste things in a little faster!
