A fairly common wishlist item for Firefox is the ability to make the tab bar display screenshots of the page on each tab, and we've seen a couple stabs at it.
Tab Sidebar, however, is the best I've seen yet. Exploiting functionality available only in Firefox 1.5 (my condolences to those not yet on the cutting edge), Tab Sidebar replaces the tab bar with (you guessed it) a sidebar that displays each tab as a thumbnail screenshot accompanied by close and reload buttons. Simple and effective.
