There are a lot of file managers for Windows, some of which offer real
improvements over Windows Explorer. One real improvement is tabbed
windows, something many of us have grown accustomed to via tabbed web
browsers.
XPlorer, today's free file,
is a tabbed file manager that includes an image viewer, file editor,
filtering functions, and is still small enough to fit on a USB flash
drive. Definitely worth a download, even if you don't make it your
default shell (it is, after all, still in alpha).

"Blazing fast program execution" - I found it to be rather slow loading and extremely slow working in folders with a large amount of files. Several features are still missing, but it does have a really nice interface. Don't really understand the use of tabs in this program, as you can't easily move files between them (copy & paste between tabs works though) - dragging a file to the tab of another folder would be nice.
Looking forward to a finished version of XPlorer.

I tried this program; it is very buggy! It throws error messages at the drop of a hat, and scrolling or updating results in distorted window contents. xplorer2 seems considerably better.
