Firefox almost to 100,000,000 downloads

Hopefully by this time next week that number will be reading the big 100m, but for now we're still a few thousand back... Some digg'er seems to have a math problem... The Spread Firefox page indicates the number is heading ever upwards, twirling towards freedom from bug-ridden browsers. The big question remains: will the next version, 1.5, which promises things like faster performance on Macs (thankfully), and kickin' XML tools be the one to push them over the edge? Here's hoping. For me, Firefox is a great blend of functionality and features. Unfortunately it has been feeling a little long in the tooth as of late, and I cannot wait for a stable 1.5 release. Now we need a mini version for handhelds, and maybe a stripped-down version for older machines? And if you're wondering why FF is better than IE, I present for your disapproval this. Of course, let's remember, some of us have downloaded Firefox more than once...
