Google Purchases page discovered

Rumors that Google is developing a payment system apparently have at least some truth to them. WebmasterBrain is reporting that a sign-up page for a system called "Google Purchases" was online until recently. The page, according to WebmasterBrain, asked for credit card data and a valid U.S. address. There's a screenshot up as well. The original page has been taken down by Google.
