Web-based Office round-up
ZDNet's Richard MacManus is about the 100th blogger to write an obituary for the desktop office suite, and he's come up with a pretty good list of AJAXy apps which he thinks are the precursors to the web-based office apps that will ultimately replace our familiar fat cats. Among them are Kiko for calendaring, Num Sum for spreadsheets, Writely for word processing, and, of course, Google, Yahoo!, and Microsoft's current and upcoming e-mail offerings.
