How competition made Vista better
If you haven't read it yet, be sure check out this Wall Street Journal article about the genesis of Windows Vista. Of particular note is the way Microsoft has attempted to remake itself in the face of competition from Google, Apple and Linux. It's a nice reminder that, even monopolies need some healthy competition to stay on their toes. Of course, the competition may still beat Microsoft, but the fight will make all of their products that much better.

It's probably a great article, but a paid subscription is required to access it.

agre with Mr. Westbound... Therefore You, editors, can safely remove this article from Your page. None of the article shows up here, and none of it i can access while i have not paid to WJ. Useless pointing to Vista doesn't make You any better. :)
