New OSX build blocks unauthorized users

intel insideWell, it was good while it lasted. If you've been planning on turning your Windows box into a genuine bootleg MacTel computer, you'll have to stick with the version of OSX 10.4.1 that's in the wild. The version of OSX 10.4.3 shipping to MacTel developers is said to include anti-piracy code to prevent it from running smoothly on unsupported boxes. Of course there's nothing to stop you from running 10.4.1. Nothing, that is, except bugs, bugs, bugs, plus the fact that any new apps ported by Apple will only run on 10.4.3 and up. Of course, it should only be a matter of time before someone hacks this version.
