Redirect Remover - Today's Browser Tip

Redirects, though occasionally warranted, usually—such as in the case of About.com's external links, for example—do little but hinder. Redirect Remover is an extension for Firefox which solves, or at least goes a long way toward solving, this annoyance. It reads the links on pages you read and when it sees one that looks like a redirect it replaces it with a direct link.It can optionally color or otherwise format the links that it "cleans" so you know when it's working, and also features a whitelist so that some URLs—like the ones on Babelfish that look suspiciously like redirects but aren't—are left alone.
