WinZip Releases Version 10.0 Beta

For those of you that like to stay on the cutting edge with your utilities, here's one that's bleeding edge: WinZip has released the beta of version 10 of their well known compression software. Given that zip compression is supported everywhere these days, including natively by Windows XP, the value of yet another version of WinZip is questionable. Of course, they are touting improved compression that can "significantly reduce the size of your Zip files". It's unclear whether this new form of compression is compatible with existing zip-compatible clients. As always with beta software, use at your own risk.
