That's Mozilla Inc., buddy

mozcorpLooks like there's another way to make money with open source — and this time we're not talking about pocket change. Everybody's favorite (well not everybody) non-profit, Firefox developer the Mozilla Foundation, is going for the gold. As initially reported by The New York Times, Moz has created a for-profit subsidiary, known as the Mozilla Corporation, which will absorb most of the foundation's employees. While Mozilla execs insist that the new company will focus on the same goals as the foundation and won't seek an IPO, it's hard not to recall the first for-profit Mozilla group — the original Netscape — which went public 10 years ago next week.
