Shareaza Beta 2.1.3.2 is out
There was a time when I used Shareaza exclusively, because it operates on four networks at once: Gnutella 1 and 2, Edonkey 2000, and BitTorrent. Last year it went open-source. Now I see in the forums there is a new Beta out, with a number of good fixes. Why use Shareaza? My motivation was to utilize all those networks at once, and to quit using Limewire (which at the time really stank). Since then there have been other apps that do the same (and on other platforms than just Windows), hence my switch. But from what I remember of Shareaza it was quite easy to configure, very stable, and operated well. Really it's quite shocking how many people I've met that don't even know it exists.

On Windows I would still use Shareaza. Unfortunately, there is too much junk/virus/etc. that could/did infect the PC. So now my mac mini runs the OSX edonkey client, or Limewire (which isn't that bad any more).
