I'm not sure if Gerrit really does not want them, but I think for a relativly fresh application a more complicated thing as trackbacks may take some time.
While I would say yes to this on ever other blogging plattform, I did not miss it on loudblog (we use it for sushiradio.com). Why? Mainly because most of the listeners of podcast perhaps write an email or sometimes a comment. It is very unlikely for many listener to write about it on their own blogs - because very often they don't even have one.
For me, loudblog is the perfect application when you want to do just a podcast (and a little blogging for the tools around it). If you are a more serious blogger you will be unhappy with many other 'lacking' features and go for a full bloated blog solution - which also hacks in the podcast feeds the way you like them. :)
