SCO Denied Case Amendment - Again

sco logoSCO's third attempt to alter its intellectual property case against IBM has been denied (again) by a judge, while their motion to interrogate IBM's CEO, Samuel J. Palmisano, was finally approved.

For those unfamiliar, SCO filed a suit against IBM in 2003 for various reasons, most notable of which is their allegation that IBM has more or less ripped off SCO's Unix for use in their Linux work, such as the servers they supply. In fact, back in the day the SCO was on such a rampage against Linux that they went so far as to threaten all rivals and users of Linux.

Both IBM and SCO have been given a deadline of Dec 22nd 2005 to present their evidence - a day I'm sure is marked on many Linux users' calendars.
