
This will only matter to you right now if you've splurged for one of those
MacTel dev boxes (or if you've been able to install OSX for Intel
via the torrent that's out there), but it looks like you can
now run Firefox as a native app on Intel-based Macs. Developers at the Mozilla Foundation worked with patches Apple put together to roll out the new version. According to Mozilla's John Aas, "I think for the first time in the history of Mac Mozilla products, we're actually ahead of the game in a way. You'll have fresh native copies of Firefox and Camino for your shiny new Intel Macs when or soon after they come out." That could be good news for Mac users — especially those who have complained about the "non-Maclike" UI of Firefox.
