CodeWeavers, known for their tools for porting Windows apps to Linux,
has announced that they're going to begin work on products to help developers port Windows apps to Intel-based Macs, along with software to allow end-users to run Windows apps on their MacTel boxes. "The impending architectural changes for Mac computers ... bodes well for legions of Macintosh users who wish to run Windows applications even when no Mac version is available," the company said in a press release. "By installing CrossOver Office on Intel-based Macs, many Windows-only applications, including Windows-based games, utilities, and business applications, will operate seamlessly and reliably." Over 100,000 Linux users have installed the company's CrossOver Office product, which allows Windows programs to run on Linux.
